Making aDifferenceThrough CSI Projects
The V-TechFoundation
The V-Tech Foundation was established by V-Tech in 2018 with a primary focus on investing in and empowering the youth of tomorrow while giving back to the community.
We are committed to supporting scholars and students financially to help them successfully complete their school curriculum through grade 12 and pursue formal qualifications for their future careers. Our support includes covering tuition costs, providing necessary books, and supplying stationery. By easing these financial burdens, we aim to empower young individuals to focus on their education and achieve their academic and professional goals.
V-Tech’sSchoolbag Project
This program allows staff to request schoolbags for their children for the upcoming school year. These bags are thoughtfully packed with essential items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and other necessary school supplies to support and enhance the children’s educational journey.
By providing these resources, V-Tech aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens on families while ensuring that every child is well-prepared and motivated for the new school year. This initiative reflects V-Tech’s commitment to supporting the education and well-being of its employees’ families and underscores its broader goal of fostering a brighter future for the next generation.
OtherCorporate Social InvestmentPrograms
V-Tech values the communities in which we operate and strives to make positive contributions.
Our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects provide medication to various veterinary outreaches, programs, workshops and congresses. We participate in programs aimed at supporting animal welfare in disadvantaged communities. This is done mainly through community veterinary clinics (CVC) that go to different locations throughout South Africa and offer various services such as sterilisation free of charge and education to animal owners. We support these initiatives by donating some of our compounded medicines to help facilitate and enhance their work.
V-Tech supports students to participate in Compulsory Community Service (CCS) weeks. We also aid organisations dedicated to providing essential veterinary care to animals in less developed areas and promoting responsible pet ownership through education and awareness initiatives.
Outreach programs range from exchange programs to the Netherlands to participation in CVC initiatives, facilitating a series of enriching experiences to expand students’ understanding of the veterinary profession.
